ACEEE-AIG Director: Dr. R. Vijayakumar (Associate Professor, NSS College of Engineering, Kerala, India)
Artificial intelligence is the science and engineering of making intelligent machines, especially intelligent computer programs. It is related to the similar task of using computers to understand human intelligence, but AI does not have to confine itself to methods that are biologically observable. AI research is highly technical and specialized; and subfields of AI are organized around particular problems, the application of particular tools and around longstanding theoretical differences of opinion. The central problems of AI include such traits as reasoning, knowledge, planning, learning, communication, perception and the ability to move and manipulate objects.
ACEEE Artificial Intelligence Group (ACEEE-AIG) has formed to tap the potential in Artificial Intelligence. The research group has also proposed International Journal of Artificial Intelligence (IJAI) to cover the following broad topics.
- Artificial Intelligence
- Robotics Intelligence
- Problems & Solutions of AI
- Cybernetics and brain simulation
- Computational Intelligence
- Statistical AI
- Intelligent agent paradigm
- Natural language processing
- Knowledge representation
- Expert System
- Logical AI
- Sub-symbolic AI
- Bottom-up, embodied, situated, behavior-based or nouvelle AI
- Cognitive simulation
"Scruffy" symbolic AI
Knowledge based AI
- Traditional symbolic AI
Original contributions are solicited on topics covered under the above broad areas (but not limited to). Prospective authors are invited to submit full papers electronically in PDF double column format to: aceee.aig AT engineersnetwork.org |
